Sun has silently dipped down and
Twilight has gently dawned
Across shadowy fields and the darkened horizon.
Revealing very soon while encircling the pale moon
Lights, minute and sparkling; a tuneless melody
In the clear, wintry night sky.
Glowing, glittering gems resting beneath
Heaven’s vast midnight canopy
Touching our souls and whispering tenderly,
“Sleep in peace and quiet hope tonight.”
Lovely poem, Becky! I really like this. 😊. Thanks for sharing.
