One winter day a
Sundog did appear when the
Sky was vast and clear.
I have just attempted yet another haiku challenge from Ronovan Writes blog using the words “vast” and “clear”. I am enjoying the challenge of trying to use such seemingly different and even opposite words in such a short poem. If you like poetry challenges and haiku’s then I invite you to also accept his latest challenge at this link: https://ronovanwrites.wordpress.com/category/haiku-prompt-challenge/

Thank you! I know now to watch for sundogs when it is very, very cold outside. In fact today is another very cold day so I may one when I go out.

Your haiku and photo of the ‘sundog’ were wonderful. I’ve never seen one in person, but it must be an awe-inspiring experience. My oldest daughter is a travel nurse working in small communities in the far north of Canada. She was recently gifted to photograph a sundog and was mesmerized.
