QUIET JOY

Quivers and qualms of earthly life recede

Under heaven’s high vaulting canopy.

Instilled peace into the mind and heart

(which the Savior does impart).

Edging deeply into a once disquieting soul

Tender sweet grace and how so merciful!

Jesus ever present, ever near:

Oh! For a hushed interlude in which to hear.

Yearnings of the past and unfilled dreams

Satisfied in faithful hope and belief.

HAPPY EASTER

Holiday of divine celebration with praise lifted high,

Adoration filling the morning sky;

Perfect fellowship with God we now share and sing;

Possible now through Jesus, our Lord, Savior, and King.

Young and old alike

Enjoined together in God’s family through Christ.

After Jesus’ suffering and death by crucifixion,

Salvation dawned on the morn of his resurrection.

Thankful gladness of the heart;

Everlasting joy, love and peace does impart.

Remembering Jesus’ gift of life and forgiveness of sin

And his forever reign as

Lord of Lords and the King of kings.

Becky’s Haiku: Fresh and Spring

New morn dawns as birds

Cheerfully sing. Fresh warm air;

Ah, sweetness of Spring.

I have attempted yet another haiku challenge from Ronovan Writes blog using the words “fresh” and “spring”. I am enjoying the challenge of putting different and even opposite words in such a short poem.  If you like word challenges and haiku’s, then I invite you to also accept Ronovan’s latest challenge at this link: https://ronovanwrites.wordpress.com/category/haiku-prompt-challenge/
