HAPPY EASTER DAY

Heaven sent gift of love and hope;

Ascension of Jesus, Savior and Lord.

Perfect and holy; he knew no sin;

Punishment he suffered for all believing in Him.

Yesterday’s and today’s offenses are forgiven;

Eternal salvation now awaits in heaven.

After that long night when he hung on the cross;

Suffering in silence, our Lord Jesus.

Tomb is opened as the stoned is rolled away;

Early morning celebration, oh Happy Easter Day!

Resurrected, Jesus is alive; in heaven, in my

heart and always at my side.

HAPPY EASTER

Becky’s Pantoum: Sunlight on the Horizon

As sunlight glistens on the horizon,
while the shield of darkness quietly fades,
of powder blue the sky softly lightens
turning the dawn into glorious new day.
While the shield of darkness quietly fades,
as the stars one by one disappear,
turning the dawn into a glorious new day
casting a ray of hope upon the earth.
As the stars one by one disappear
into the dispersing cloak of night
casting a ray of hope upon the earth
spanning from early morn to eve’s twilight.
Into the dispersing cloak of night,
as the moon emits a pale and ghostly glow
spanning from early morn to eve’s twilight
barely visible in a shimmering shadow.
As the moon emits a pale and ghostly glow,
of powder blue the sky softly lightens,
barely visible in a shimmering shadow
as sunlight glistens on the horizon.

The Lord God is my SHELTER

He is my:

Safe haven when I am afraid.

Help when I am in trouble or in need.

Ever present friend when I feel all alone.

Loving Father who keeps continual watch over me.

Trusted Lord and Savior who never forgets those who love Him.

Everlasting Hope for an eternally secured future.

Refuge of rest in the wake of life’s fiercest storms.

He is my everlasting Lord who never changes,

never fails, and his good and purposeful plans

will endure and prevail.

Becky’s Song: He’s Always Near

Verse 1:

God hears my prayers,

And calms my fears.

Yes, God hears my prayers;

He’s always near.

God comforts me,

And wipes away my tears.

Yes, God comforts me;

He’s always near.

Chorus:

He’s near me in the sunshine;

He’s still there in the moonlight.

And even when there’s no light,

God’s always near.

Verse 2:

God provides for my needs

and keeps watch over me.

Yes, God provides for my needs;

He’s always near.

God shows the way

And leads me home,

Yes, God shows the way;

He’s always near.

Chorus

Verse 3:

Because he loves me so,

He’ll never let me go.

Yes, because he loves me so;

He’s always near.

I’ll praise his name,

And sing with all my heart.

 Yes, I’ll praise his name;

He’s always near

Chorus

Becky’s Haiku: Sweet and Heart

White daisies sway in

the field; vision sweet touches

the faint heart with peace.

NEW HOPE

New day gently dawns;

early morning sun rests on the horizon.

Wakes the sleeping songbird;

he gladly sings, chirps, and trills.

Overhead the brightening sun climbs upward

piercing and dispelling the darkness of night.

Ever softly, a seed is planted in the heart

of a downcast soul;

birth of encouragement with

discovery of new hope.

CELEBRATE SPRING

Crystal blue sunlit skies;

Early Easter morning sunrise.

Leaves appearing; hints of emerald green

Enveloping the once barren trees

Branches reaching skyward and wild wood thickets;

Robins strumming, croaking frogs, and chirping crickets.

Aroma of a warm, refreshing rain;

Thunder rumbles occasionally on the horizon.

Evenings stretching into sun-gilded twilight;

Soft shimmering moon hovers in the starry night.

Purple violets dotting the grass-laden meadow;

Rabbits hopping and scampering squirrels

In the forest hidden by leafy boughs,

New fawn and doe quietly wandering about.

Gifts of new life and hope emerging: new treasures

found in the season of Spring.

Lesson in the Wind

Wind whistling with the

waltzing trees, lofty whispers:

eerie to perceive.

Trees swirl in rhythmic

flair as sound of the wind’s whirl

pierce the heart and air.

How the wind has such

temper to serenade us

with woeful banter.

During storms at night,

how I lay in silent fear waiting

to see morning light.

Wild shadows outside

my window unnerves me as

wind shrieks, howls, and blows.

Nothing to do in

the darkness but to be still

and quietly rest.

It’s my decision

to trust in the Lord’s plan and his

promised provision.

Or to lament and

fret instead as I cringe with

worry on my bed.

The fierce wind, though, is

a reminder of things in

life I can’t control;

need to trust in faith

to let Jesus lead the way

and gently let go.

The WINTER Season

Winds blowing from the north and northeast; marching across the prairie sea.

Icicles stretching beneath the cold sunlight to touch the frozen white landscape.

New fallen snow filters the blustery air and blankets the vast land;

Trees stripped bare of their colorful garments of leaves

Ever bravely face now the onslaught of the cutting, frigid breeze.

Reminiscent of seasons past but with hope I remember these

blustery and bone-chilling days will not last.
