Mountain pines towered,

Nature’s class of elegance;

Resolute and firm.

In time they’ve weathered

Through storms of wind, snow, and rain

Solid, determined.

They’re a testament

To all who journey and see

Their hidden beauty.

I have just attempted yet another haiku challenge from Ronovan Writes blog using the words “class” and “firm”. I am enjoying the challenge of putting different and even opposite words in such a short poem.  The challenge can be in just determining a suitable topic to bring the words together.  Plenty of times, I have sat here looking at a blank page just trying to think of such a subject.
