If you are saddened or hurt and your heart is
filled with the deepest sorrow
Then remember and hold on to hope;
There will be a new day, a better tomorrow.
Are you ready for something different today? I have been taking a Blogging 101 class and each day we have a new assignment. Today’s assignment was to be a good neighbor by visiting other blogs and leaving thoughtful comments. So I thought I would share here some of the inspirational, hopeful and even humorous blogs that I have recently discovered:
Source of Inspiration: http://patcegan.wordpress.com/2014/04/25/giving-up-suffering/
Work in the Margin: http://writerose.files.wordpress.com/2014/04/moonlight-on-cove.jpg

I hope everyone enjoys looking at these and finding some inspiration or a laugh for today.
Over a year ago I had written a poem called Spring following instructions to begin each line with the letters in “Spring.” I like the hopefulness of spring and after a very long winter with plenty of snow on the ground for months, many of us couldn’t wait to see green grass, new leaves, and colorful flowers again. One friend living in Wisconsin said, “I just can’t wait to see colors again.” So once again in a quest to find and share hope in everyday life, I am re-posting my Spring poem:
S P R I N G
Sunshine glistens above the baby-leafed trees as a gentle wind blankets the land and sea.
Purple violets and dandelions too sprinkle the lawn like morning dew.
Radiant rainbow arches high after a thunderous storm has left the sky.
Ivy leaves and new vines begin to sprout starting their journey up a white trellised house.
Nesting robins and joyous meadowlarks tweet happy melodies that warm the heart.
Gentle doe leads her spotted fawn across the wildflower covered meadow land.
Whether it be at night while gazing at the stars and full moon
Or watching the golden sun rise or seeing it reach high noon,
May you find your happy place where you’re content and feel blissfully free;
Where you discover within yourself peaceful serenity.
Whether it be in the late evening when only the crickets are singing
Or in the early dawn when the morning bells are gently ringing,
May you find your happy place where you and God can quietly be;
Where you’re wrapped in his love with a hint heaven-scented eternity.
Whether walking in the forest where robins and meadow larks sing in the trees
Or sitting on the sandy seashore where your bare skin tingles in the wet, salty breeze,
May you find your happy place; a silent refuge from the world of grief;
Where your hurting soul is showered in soothing, quenching relief.
Whether you’re sitting in the park in the warmth of the glistening sunlight
Or lying awake in the still moments of the deepest, darkest night,
May you find your happy place where your spirit gladly rests;
Where you remember you are deeply loved and forever blessed.

Hope is my special faith that I keep deep down inside
If I feel overwhelmed with hurt then to Hope I must confide.
Then I am encouraged and I feel my strength once again.
I stop to remember that Hope is my everlasting friend.
I must hold onto my friend, I must never let him out of my sight.
For if I lose him in the darkness of grief then I must find Hope
to again see the light.
Sunlight, Sunlight, oh, please visit my way
and shine on me and keep me warm this chilly day.
Sunlight, sunlight piercing through the clouds
touch this sleeping soul so new life may be roused.
Sunlight, sunlight brightening the forest green
You fill me with hope as I wander through the trees.
Sunlight, Sunlight, while these days are slipping by
help me to share God’s love and to gladly say, “hi”.
Sunlight, sunlight Please help to me safely stay
inside of God’s love through all the winding day.
Sunlight, sunlight, please light up the path that I am to roam
so that one day I’ll arrive in my heavenly sweet home.
Sunlight, sunlight, is that you glowing inside of me?
“Yes,” said Jesus, “but to gaze upon my face, you’ll have to wait and see.”
I wanted to start this blog just as a way to share some little piece of inspiration and hope. I think we all need a bit of that. To begin with, I grew up in a very rural area of Wisconsin and lived on a small farm there. I went to a small school and Unfortunately, I was one of those kids who was teased a lot and put down for many reasons. My extreme shyness did not help matters. But when away from school, I did find comfort and a safe place to be with family and with the close friends I did have. I also found peace and comfort through faith in God and in nature.
How I wish that this world, could a beautiful passageway for us all. We all need a place to feel safe, sense God’s love, and be inspired. It is my hope that this simple blog could be a safe place for others to come and find some hope or inspiration in their day. So, with this blog, I aim to post a little poem, or a picture or at least a thought of inspiration for the day. And I hope that this is somehow helpful and encouraging to others who may see my post today.
