NEW HOPE
New day gently dawns;
early morning sun rests on the horizon.
Wakes the sleeping songbird;
he gladly sings, chirps, and trills.
Overhead the brightening sun climbs upward
piercing and dispelling the darkness of night.
Ever softly, a seed is planted in the heart
of a downcast soul;
birth of encouragement with
discovery of new hope.
CELEBRATE SPRING
Crystal blue sunlit skies;
Early Easter morning sunrise.
Leaves appearing; hints of emerald green
Enveloping the once barren trees
Branches reaching skyward and wild wood thickets;
Robins strumming, croaking frogs, and chirping crickets.
Aroma of a warm, refreshing rain;
Thunder rumbles occasionally on the horizon.
Evenings stretching into sun-gilded twilight;
Soft shimmering moon hovers in the starry night.
Purple violets dotting the grass-laden meadow;
Rabbits hopping and scampering squirrels
In the forest hidden by leafy boughs,
New fawn and doe quietly wandering about.
Gifts of new life and hope emerging: new treasures
found in the season of Spring.
The WINTER Season
Winds blowing from the north and northeast; marching across the prairie sea.
Icicles stretching beneath the cold sunlight to touch the frozen white landscape.
New fallen snow filters the blustery air and blankets the vast land;
Trees stripped bare of their colorful garments of leaves
Ever bravely face now the onslaught of the cutting, frigid breeze.
Reminiscent of seasons past but with hope I remember these
blustery and bone-chilling days will not last.
Becky’s Haiku: Touching the Heart
ABC Poem: Spring
Arrival of fluttering and twittering birds
Blue jays, robins and flocks of Canadian geese.
Choir of joyful honks, tweets, and staccato chirps
Descending and floating on a gentle, warm breeze.
Ever minute leaflets and sporadic
Foliage of soft lemon green.
Grass blades sprout and appear;
Hope takes silent wing
Infiltering the warmer air.
Jagged tree limbs gently swish and sway in
Kindred orchestrated choreography.
Long slender branches in dancing display;
Moving, waving rhythmically.
New aromas permeate the wafting wind;
Over the fields and upon the meadows
Purple and white lilac blossoms
Quietly add their sweet-scented seasoning.
Red tulips; also, white, orange, pink and yellow
Softly paint the land in a colorful rainbow.
Tender green clover and dandelions sprout
Underneath the warm rays of a sunbeam.
Vivid blue, the sky illuminates its hue
While ushering in with joyful
Exultation this
Year’s new season of Spring;
Zippered between the start of summer and
Winter’s reluctant and blustery end.
Walk in Faith
Walk in the firmness of faith
And not in nagging doubt;
Walk in unwavering belief
That Jesus is Lord and King.
Walk in steadfast hope
Even while climbing a slippery slope
Of troubles and tribulations
Through this earthly life’s
Wilderness and desert lands.
Walk in trust and confidence
Knowing that all the Lord’s
Plans will ultimately prevail
And that his unfathomable
Ocean of love will never fail.
His never-ending love which can
Reach the furthest star and
Touch the bottom of the deepest sea.
And fill all the voids of earth and space;
The boundaries of his love,
No one can perceive.
Walk in sheer delight
Of God’s revealing light;
A beacon leading us the way
To the road he has prepared today.
Yes, walk in faith never doubting
That God of heaven is holy and supreme.
And that his son, Jesus is indeed
Lord, Savior and king
Who will reign for all
Eternity;
Walk in faith.
HE IS RISEN
Holy celebration on springtime morn:
Everlasting is Jesus, Our Savior and Lord!
In heaven now where he forever reigns:
Salvation he has brought; praise be his glorious name!!
Resurrected from the grip of death;
In hope he lives, ever victorious.
Son rises and shines on us early Easter morning:
Eternal life he is gladly giving.
Now and for all eternity,
He lives inside the hearts of all who believe.
Happy Easter

Freku: CHRISTMASTIME
Christians near and far
Herald the birth of our Lord;
Remembering the singing angels,
Immanuel laying in a manger;
Starry, most holy night.
Traveling wise men also came
Many miles beneath the guiding star
Across the desert mountains and the plains;
Seeing at last this most holy sight.
Tending shepherds watched
In reverent wonder and awe,
Mary and Joseph quieting kneeling;
Eternal king and savior peacefully sleeping
while bringing us his goodness and light.
Remembering the
Savior’s birth who brought us hope
and peace here on earth.
Merry Christmas to all!!
